Dear Doctor Waite:

Since we talked. the American Me4ical Association has once again reviewed the peer review and immunity issue. Our Board of Trustees is presenting to our House of Delegates a report with several recommendations that essentially advise status quo.

This issue will be debated before Reference Committee G that meets at our Interim Meeting in San Francisco next month. Any member of the AMA may testify before the Reference Committee that will then make its own recommendations to the House that establishes AMA policy by its vote.

The schedule now calls for this Reference Committee to meet from 1 :30 PM to 6:00PM on December 2. The meeting room will be in the Hilton Hotel, San Francisco. The exact time this issue. entitled Board of Trustees Report 8_wiU_aiscussed is not yet known. I enclose a copy of the report. Additional copies may be downloaded from the web at www.amaassn.org and hitting the button marked Interim Meeting, then to resolutions and reports and then to Reference Committee G.

Please feel free to forward this information on.

Sincerely tu._
